Who’s that guy?
By Silver Blue
Spain trip, January 1988. The Island of Tenerife.
24 years has brought about a lot of changes.
Silver Blue…who knows it best to not wish to be able to go back and undo things.
Which end is up?
By Silver Blue
1996, Newport News Park. Of course, I could have used a title of “Egrets, I’ve have a few…but then again, too few to mention.” Or I could have ‘craned’ my brain in coming up with a catchy phrase…. or maybe I couldn’t have heron all.
What I’m trying to so say is I don’t know what kind of bird this is, but I liked the photo. Those were back in the days when everything was manual. I think I prefer photography these days.

Jacobi played peek-a-boo
By Silver Blue
1994. The cat that turned up on the back step and was a part of my life until she passed on in 2002. Jacobi. I don’t know how old she was because she never grew any larger. This is from an old negative I scanned in, when I lived in the flat.
Two days before Christmas.
Jacobi was only the second cat that’s ever owned me. The first, Tiger, lived with us in Charleston until he moved to my Grandparents on Dad’s side, where one day he simply roamed up into the hills, and vanished.

Sky rockets in flight!

Taken in 1996, on film, the State College, Pennsylvania Fireworks.
(I know you’re expecting “Afternoon Delight” by Skyland Vocal Band, but… I’ll let you sing it in your head)

You can’t hide your Lion Eyes….
By Silver Blue
From Kenton, Ohio, 1996:
See the top of the building? There’s a lion hiding there.
In 2006, a decade later….movin’ on up…
movin’ on up….
…then coming into focus…
I don’t know what this building used to be, or why the lion head adorns it.
I don’t even know when it was cleaned and painted.
I do know it’s the pollution, however, that causes the discolouration…
It’s been 4 years since I’ve been back to Kenton, and I wonder if the building is still standing, if the lion is still there, gazing at the Court House, keeping watch over the city.
